The only constant tease that plagues the minds of dance fans more than a Swedish House Mafia reunion is the glimmer of hope that Daft Punk will tour in 2017. Given that the legendary French duo has only toured twice in 1997 and 2007 (although if we split hairs, that second tour started at Coachella in 2006), fans have long held out faith that the disco-robot overlords would return sometime this calendar year.

The latest fuel for the Reddit rumor mill comes courtesy of a random YouTube account’s 51-second video that flashes the Alive ’07 pyramid stage symbol and chants “Alive” in a filtered voice, a la Daft Punk’s trademark style. The clip’s description is simply a collection of seemingly meaningless numbers, but one YouTuber converted the digits into code that reveals a list of cities.

Rumors of an Alive 2017 tour began in September after a strange post to Lollapalooza’s website, and hit a fever pitch following the discovery of Alive2017.com. However, Consequence of Sound and Pitchfork have previously reported that Daft Punk has no plans to tour in 2017.

Billboard Dance has reached out to Daft Punk’s team for comment.
